Now they want to select all those failed batsmen over Kirk McKenzie but the stats against Australia revealed their insularity and hypocrisy. Talking about regional competition when many batsmen failed against real bowlers, because many regional bullies cannot buy runs in a test match.

Boss, there have been many opportunities (matches) since McKenzie did well in Australia, but McKenzie has squandered those opportunities. He did not deserve selection.

Now there were questionable selections for the various teams this summer, absolutely, however, McKenzie has no one to blame other than his poor form and his inability to construct innings. The inability to construct innings is endemic in the region, so McKenzie will get his chance again.

So after the Australia poor performances of Athanaze and Greaves, how comes you are not questioning their possible selection over McKenzie?

Some fans really have no shame even after looking at the Australia stats, when 3 of our 4 bowlers scored more runs than Athanaze but yet they are fighting down Kirk

Batting for a man who averaged 34.5 just last year against one of the best teams in the world, while you are putting up regional bullies who failed against quality bowling. Who would you rather face Australia, a batsman who has already proven himself against Australian bowlers or ones who have already failed against them but made a few runs against lollipop bowling?

The fact is that the other batsmen have not proven themselves to be any better.
For example, today Captain Chase chasing then out in 50’s, back in the days if it was a Yardie player, GM VOR would have said, “but he didn’t get the job done”

Why fight down a young WI batsman? Just because he is not from your island? If you are promoting less talented batsmen then you are not working in the best interest of the region, in fact you are helping to destroy WI cricket. Look at today’s match we are now the beating stick of minnows and many of us have no pride in our brilliant cricket history, we would rather lose to a minnow team, as long as our homies are on the team. What a shameful ending to WI cricket?

No! I am against the hypocrisy of some fans willing to promote their players who not any better than Kirk, based on the fact that they are willing to promote regional lollipop cricket scores over Kirk’s score against one of the best teams in the world, when we all know that’s a vastly inadequate comparison. As demonstrated by many regional bullies unable to buy a run against a well organized bowling unit, as was in the case of Athanaze and Greaves. But when the squad for Australia is announced, we are sure that they will be selected over Kirk. You really support that type of selection ineptitude?

Alright then

Different lenses and perspectives for different islands, for if Kirk was from another island, he would still be playing, as we painfully watched several players continue to represent WI even after many failures but for Yardies, one failed series and you are out.
