...currently in hiding are getting an understanding of how important values and principles and they mean a whole lot more than some ill-thoughtout expediency objective.

I have lived long enough to understand that...the supposed 'expediency' gains are usual short term and eventually bite you in the nether-regions.

I dunno Cheeks. I just don't know.

I accept:

1. People were struggling economically.
2. People did not like the direction of the country.

What I do not understand is how they thought Trump was the answer. Trump was a terrible President from 2016 to 2020. He was given a great economy, screwed the pooch with Covid, gave a stimulus with little checks and balances so it was fraught with fraud and left office with a massive deficit, dead Americans and an insurrection.

I do not care where you stand on LGBTQ and immigration you cannot elect a petty moron. And that is what the intolerant did; voted for a guy who claimed he agreed with them on "walls" and "balls" but is a complete idiot.

That is hard to understand.
