Because he is a Certified CLAPPA . Who in their right mind select a youth with no experience to tour England .

I wonder if some here think he is the next Lara or tendulkar.

It’s not like this kid Dominated his age group or Domestic cricket .

Jewel Andrew should be playing against S A. In the Caribbean.

Or touring Ireland and England with the senior team, being in that environment, being mentored by senior players, practicing with the best in the region in those conditions, learning what it takes to be a pro, etc?

Both are beneficial and I have no problem with him being in either scenario.

Don't know the past won't learn in the present for the future. Why did Lloyd call up Winnie Davis from county cricket to replace an injured senior instead of debuting Young Cuddy Walsh? Why did Viv call up Clayton Lambert from league cricket instead of debuting Lara? Why did Lara take Clappa to Pomland but not play him? For us Blooding must stil bel a thing because we are a weak entity.

Probably after Sammy saw Hetmyer size, he decided Hetmyer was not fit for an ODI.

Potential talent needs exposure....Jewel has been to Sri Lanka...He is in this Ireland and England tour.... getting feeling of international cricket....playing against best...when Rutherford and Pooran returns, Jewel will find very difficult to get in the squad....CWI and management grooming him....

As far as Hety...The man, who missed the flight from Guyana to Australia, caught flight from India to England.....this fact itself speaks, that players are getting respect, which they very well deserved.....He will be in ODI in next match....surely in T-20....
