When Tommy Hearns ran from you , you know you were a great

I wasn’t talking about “exciting”…I’m talking about “technical” per Joe Grine’s comment….
Exciting would have to include Tyson, Hagler, Hearns, Roy Jones Jr etc…

Sugar Ray Leonard isnt in your Top 5? Interesting….
Sugar Ray is ahead of both Sanchez and Roy Jones Jr in my humble opinion….
Sanchez didnt fight enough quality fighters for me to judge him…

RIP to the Body Snatcher McCallum. Most memorable for me was when he left the hyped Donald Curry motionless with one left hook
You all will think i am nuts, but in terms of technical boxers i liked Hector Macho Comacho. I loved Tommy Hearns. That punch that knocked out Roberto Duran. the sound is chilling. Also loved Larry Homes. excellent jab and dominated the heavyweight division

I suggest you read up on Salvador Sanchez.
I rate Sanchez as a very good puncher…much like a Tommy Hearns…I wouldn’t rate him in the category of Top Technical Boxers of all time…
I also rate Felix Trinidad ahead of Sanchez (and Trinidad isnt in my Top 5)

Mike McCallum, at the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal you were robbed of at least a bronze medal when in the 1/4 finals you beat your opponent with everything save the chairs in the audience and to the shock of said audience, and your opponent the referee raised the hand of your battered opponent in "victory".
U WAZ ROBBED!

Wow. We became very close during his pre Professional stint. One of the
few who sought my advice in my capacity as a journalist and was pleased when
he turned pro.
Mike McCallum was not only one of the best boxers ever but a kindly humble
man outside the ring and will always be remembered for making Jamaica
proud.
Thanks my friend for nice times and fond memories.
RIP

RIP Mike.
I remember interviewing him when he lost his unbeaten record and his title, and he handled the disappointment with such grace.
A great boxer, but an even greater man.
