Bubu Kanhai also had 2, both overseas vs India and Pakistan.
The GOAT also had two.Saw his 365 vs Pakistan but not his 226 vs England at Mecca
So too Worrell ; saw some of his 237 at Bina vs India but heard of his 261 at Trent Bridge.

Two notables who perhaps came closest to scoring two
Clive Hubert Lloyd
Conrad Cleophas Hunte
both averaged 45+.
Interesting that the two openers to do it are both Yardies.

lara was 4 short of ten double tons when nel got him with a slower ball outswinger in QPO in 2005. it was an amazing ball. the whole crowd was stunned. it was a freak delivery but it was also all skill.

lara's first hundred in the WI could have been at qpo too in the 93 series against pakistan. Part of the strategy at qpo in those last days of WI's unbeaten run was to have slightly unprepared wickets against the visitors. long story short WI were bowled out before tea for 127 and pakistan finished day one 120-8. the pitch was bad but not as bad as wisden, who were the most bitter about the then 13 year unbeaten run, said because Haynes scored the first of two hundreds in the series in the 2nd innings and lara scored 96 before he got a delivery from part time offie Asif Mujtaba that pitched two feet outside off and shot back to hit offfstump off a deflection. wisden was just angry wi were winning and were still salty from the pakistan/england series in 1992 where they accused waqar as waz of ball tampering because they were getting beat to skin. all the pacemen in that match performed exceptionally.

I distinctly remember seeing pictures of the cricket balls that Pakistan used
an see marks on it that was obviously made by an instrument.
they were speculations that some players kept instruments in their pockets.
One suggestion was that a drink bottle stopper was discovered with the players.
In other words, not the normal wear and tear.
These photos were posted on the Barbados Nation news paper sports page.

ent imran admitted he tampered with the ball in county cricket? You'd have to be very naïve to think they did not do it at the international level especially as Pakistan were the 2nd best team in the world for the vast majority of the 80s and early 90s. what i don't like is the one way persecution of pakistan. other teams tampered with the ball before pakistan found their first great paceman, safraz nawaz.
n 1977, England's left-arm seamer John Lever found himself amid a furore during a Test against India at Chennai (then Madras) when he took to wearing gauze tape smeared with petroleum jelly across his forehead, purportedly a means of stopping sweat from running into his eyes.

Suggestions that Lever, who swung the ball violently to claim 10 wickets in the series opener at Calcutta, was smearing the greasy substance on to the ball's surface also saw him become the first subject of a media pile-on over (ultimately unproved) suspicions of 'ball tampering'.

England through marcus trescothick admitted to working on the ball with saliva and mint during the 05 Ashes. And we all saw the kind of swing people like simon jones got during that tour. Personally, only one team i think didn't tamper, and that was the West Indies. the WI relied mostly on seam movement, the ball moving of the pitch rather than through the air. only marshall was a swing bowler.

No. Big Clyde only had one...220 at the Mecca in 1954 rated as one of the best double tons
up to that era.
Frank ,in addition to two doubles had two 190s one at Mecca 1960 and the other at Trent Bridge in 1957 when
he opened and carried his bat.His first double was also Trent Bridge in 1950 , 261.

Did he bat through the prelunch period without scoring?
I can say more, thank you, JO Morris, for showing us how to be strong.

That was on purpose, he was not giving in to Gerry Alexander.
He batted as if it were a net session, he liberated the West Indies from its slave drivers.
At the beginning of the day's play, Sir Frank was 197 not out, and at lunch, he was 197 not out.
