At this point I will recommend that Keacy Carty

The Test Bowling Unit is much more straightforward:

Spinners: Jomel Warrican, Vice-Captain and Roston Chase, Captain.

Fast Bowlers: Alizari Joseph, Jayden Seales, Shamar Joseph and Kemar Roach.

riutherford should have been in the squad as of yesterday. disagree with kraigfg though. kraigg cannot bat. 33 at 100 tests proves that. we need to move on

In my view, Sherfane Rutherford, should be in the starting eleven against Australia.

Last time Rutherford played Red Ball Cricket..2019..
Now, on the basis of white ball performance , if test selection is done.....why not abolish regional dungheap 4- day tournament....those foolish players, playing 4-day...should participate in different T-20 leagues...Nepal,UAE, Zimbabwe...excel...get promotion to IPL,BBL,PSL...get entry in test team....how foolish of
Silva
Anderson & rest...

Carty...will surely be in test set-up...

I agree Brathwaite, should be in team...Jason Holder be in the bowling line up...Seales,Joseph,Shamar, all leaks runs even in test...bowling line-up depends also on what pitch, we play....batters
Campbell
Brathwaite
Jangoo
Silva
Carty
Chase
Holder
Imlach
Anderson

The last time Braithwaite played against Australia, he averaged about 8 runs for the entire series but you would rather include him in the squad over the player McKenzie who topped the batting average with 34.5 in Australia? On what basis?

Rutherford can flat-out BAT.

And he has a good Cricket MIND.

I believe that he has improved his

batting technique TREMENDOUSLY ... in

the last 18 months.

His TECHNIQUE and CONSISTENCY are what

make me a believer.

You are very well entitled to your opinion.....but facing Starc, Cummins,Hazelwood..... despite all the attributes you say Rutherford has.....one needs red ball practice....last time Rutherford faced a red ball was 6 years back.......

For me, Carty,Silva, Anderson, should be the batters but whatever I gather from the Brandon King is going to be part of test squad ...the test captain and management team have been withdrawn from Ireland series...
Head Coach Daren Sammy as well as his assistants Floyd Reifer and Ravi Rampaul will also depart to join the Test Series Camp after the England leg of the tour, a strategic move as he prepares for his first outing as Head Coach of the Test team, alongside the newly appointed Chase, at the critical start of the 2025-2027 World Test Championship cycle, where the Caribbean squad is seeking to regain its place as one of the world’s leading test playing squads.

The highly experienced Rayon Griffith, who has been a widely respected and admired staple of the coaching unit for many years, will take the reigns as the lead coach for the matches against Ireland, with Donovan Miller stepping in to add support to the coaching staff.

Neither Joshua DaSilva nor Kevin Anderson will be in the upcoming test squad against Australia

Squad will likely be as follows:
Chase
Warrican
Brathwaite
Louis
Campbell
Athanaze
Hodge
King or Jangoo
Greaves
Imlach
Seales
Roach
Shamar Joseph
AlJo **
Motie **

AlJo and Motie are both in the T20 squad to Ireland. Those matches finish on June 15. The 1st test against Australia starts on June 25

Assuming AlJo in particular plays all T20’s, that’s going to be an extremely heavy workload for him to come back and play 5 days of test cricket (theoretically).

They might have both AlJo and Motie in the squad, but not the starting XI.

Jangoo MIGHT get a nod in the squad over King because of his wicketkeeping as a backup to Imlach.

Lol Carty couldn't even buy a decent score in the FC season... because he is scoring some runs in limited overs cricket (where the ball hardly does anything) he is considered the most productive batsman in the region and is suddenly a sure pick in the test XI.

Yall know red ball cricket is completely different from white ball right?

My assumption based on CWI and management....
AlJo not in test set-up as of now. .Seales,Shamar,Roach...pacers
Greaves allrounder
Chase default captain all rounder
Warrican vice captain spinner ..

Silva is surely in playing XI, if not then zero justification...the boy had ticked all boxes, required for test selection as batter. .
Anderson in squad...

My team , .
Jangoo
Campbell/Louis
Brathwaite
Hodge/Carty
Silva
Chase
Holder/Greaves
Imlach
Bowlers based on pitch...
Seales
Roach
Shamar
AlJo
Warrican
Sinclair
Motie
Anderson

I would prepare pitch, just like India and Pakistan..... turning from ball one of the test match... that' s best chance.... Further, drop down the order Brathwaite....

With all due respect…..you livin in fantasy land with these statements:

Silva is surely in playing XI

Ahead of whom? According to the selectors, DaSilva cyah even make the A team, and they dropped him altogether for the recently concluded Pakistan series, but he go make the test XI?

Since when are groundsmen in the region capable of preparing a pacy wicket, turning track, or a road on demand? When has that EVER happened here?

I heard that Silva asked leave from South Africa -A series..... Preparation camp starts 13 th June...... Silva surely integral part....

Holder should be in the squad...instead of Greaves
