The players have sent Millions to a corrupt and broke Cricket Board and yet everyone conveniently refuses to similarly quote in dollars have much more they have made from the very existence of being associated with an institution (West Indies Cricket) that they came and found (broken or otherwise) that was not their own construction.
The millions they have retuned, and not willingly I may add, is a pittance to what they have helped destroyed by taking advantage of an even more corrupt system for their own gloried self interest at the behest of persons who truly care nothing about West Jndians and West Indian cricket.
I do not presume to understand what is the state of affairs with Josh DaSilva and someone should speak of it. However whatever that is, even if presumed to be wrong, this has nothing to do with a group who deflect, criticize, make excuses, blame everyone else, and will be remembered as nothing more that mercenaries. Nothing to do with eating a food or taking care of their families. Their cups runneth over aplenty; they love it; they love the seeming attention that comes with it from others; they can’t get enough of it;
In time when “it” is over they will surely have plenty but no one will bother to recall anything about them, because all that they have left is a few smacks at every non discript ground all over without an affinity to any thing or any one.
They will be just fine, and so will all of us, whatever the state of West Indies cricket.
