nobody wants to play for a side that loses consistently and is clearly comfortable with losing consistently. Samir Nasri was getting paid millions of dollars but left Arsenal for ManCity because Arsenal under Wenger was comfortable with losing. Even if the WI had matched pooran's salary, the environment in and around west indies cricket is only conducive to losing. that would drive any world class player to greener pastures if they're available

the country is a losing team. and has been uncompetitive for most of the last ten years. And like Nasri, there were options. For players like kraigg brathwaite, alick athanaze, kavem hodge, there are no options so they have to stay with a losing side. Pooran had options and he took it
