This is the problem with our cricket, and fans who glorify mercenaries like Pooran. Good riddance

Why is it that if a cricketer decide to prioritize his earnings we call them mercenaries? A mercenary is a person primarily concerned with making money at the expense of ethics. There is nothing unethical about a person choosing to use their talent to legally earn as much as they can to take care of themselves and family. We sometimes forget that playing to the WI is a job. A job they can get fired from whether for God or bad reasons. Choosing to ply their trade elsewhere is not being a mercenary. We all choose jobs that are best for ourselves and our family. There is absolutely nothing unethical about that.
