Anderson Phillip had a good regional 4-day season (considering the amount of wickets spinner Khary Pierre got for T&T) especially bowling in tandem with Seales until both of them went to play County Cricket (picking up 10 wickets in 7 innings) with the last few rounds in the Caribbean season remaining.

Look at it this way, Sir Onionman:

Shamar Holder, who will also be in the West Indies squad is also playing in this game.

Shamar bowled with hostility, but Anderson Phillips out bowled him, by a distance.

In both accuracy and effectiveness.

I haven't seen growth this year in Shamar based on what we saw in 2024 in Australia. I know he was working through some injuries.

Hopefully the coaches keep supporting him and guiding him in his development.

On the bowling Front we have: Seales, Alzarri, Shamar, Roach (fitness), Anderson, Warrican

Depending on the selection I would say Seales and Alzarri will play and it comes up to whether Chase wants a 4 prong meaning he will bowl some spin or 3 Fast bowlers and Warrican.

Philip is looking decent but i hope Sammy is actually watching the match and not just looking at stats because the man to pencil for the first test is Shamar Joseph. He has been very unlucky but is bowling fast again and delivering some brutish wicket taking deliveries

You got me wrong.......

If the performance has got any weight.....then Brathwaite should be dropped... Phillips should be included in the squad.....whether he plays or not... another thing....this pitch is fast bowling ......I saw one of scout sitting in stadium....

Shamar is very raw, whereas Phillips experienced ...
