The Jamaican Reggae Bwoys were in devastating form as they put on a dominant performance to power their way to the top of Group E, against Guatemala, who also advanced in 2nd position. Jamaica needed a boost after a disappointing previous match against BVI, where they won the match by a mere 1-0. Which was in contrast to their exceptional performance in the finals of the Unity Cup against Nigeria, that match ended 2-2, with Nigeria lifting the Cup by a margin of 5-4 on penalty shootout but Jamaica played very well against a worldclass team.
