Btw....many bashed Boeing saying they cut corners i developing the max, that i stead of building it from scratch, they used an existing fuselage and tried to bri g it up to new standards....and that caused many of the issues.
Now the above article is claiming that building the dreamliner from scratch caused issues.
Lawd. Yes these corporations are greedy. But the end user is just as culpable for these deadlines.
And unlike cars, Airplanes do not come with an expectation of care free usage for a period ... as in the planes have to be maintained from day one!
It does not take much for a perfectly good aircraft to be a pile of junk if the airline and its mechanics are less than professional in their maintenance.
If in fact this was a catatrophic engine failure, being that these engines are used in all the dreamliners and this is the first issue of this magnitude, i would think maintenance.
Could be something as simple as oil changes.
