What is the plan here coach Sammy?
Is it a rebuild? Youth movement? Win now mode with or the hill friends? So confused.
Is it about West Indies cricket or about you. Give the team the plan and seat your butt down.
Please be accountable. You can't select this team that is guaranteed to be embarrassed and then say that the team didn't execute the plan. A team must have talent. We have some talent but most are not present on this team.
Please allow these players to be motivated with performance.
No current player can command a place but we have a great deal of bad and even worse than current players.
How can Roach not play but Russell and rest of the old, non performing players.
You do not select the Dominicans who performed bad but you select worse players.
I can go on but I remain confused.

Why confused......Sammy wants all formats players.....presently, the test championship final going on.....just see out of 22 players.....may be 20 multi formats players.....CWI awarded multi-year ...multi format contract to King & Hope.....way back in November 2024....So,Sammy along with his data Man Aveenash Seetaram, trying to walk the same path as others.....From 25 th ....we will get to see the results....

No excuse......

Sammy owns the good and the blames the players for the bad. He took credit when Powell as captain won a few series. He then blames and got rid of Powell after losing a couple series. He then makes Hope captain when Hope was not a first choice in the T20 team.

Now what do we have, we have the WI fans being lied to about the process for selecting the test captain. I say we are being lied to because why is it that the same process was not used to select the new T20 captain and a new ODI captain. They only come up with a process when it suits them to cover Sammy's selection. Had Hope agreed to be test captain there would be no interviews and no psychometric testing. It is all a farce to explain why Chase got back into the team with a test average as low as the others who have been discarded.

Why shortlist Da Silva as a potential captain when he was not even selected in any of the two A team squads for the 4 day games? Is it that Sammy was afraid Da Silva would score a century and he would then have no excuse why he has left him out the squad but has recalled Hope who has done absolutely nothing in the longer format to merit a recall? I don't care how good he is in ODI cricket. He has not show that he is any good in red ball cricket and he has done nothing in red ball cricket since being dropped from the test side to show any improvement to merit a recall. People bash Da Silva whose batting average is 25 but whose main role was to keep wicket, while praising Hope with a batting average of 25 whose main role is to bat. The hypocrisy.

Since Hope score 90 not put against Zimbabwe in October 2017, he played 24 more test matches up to November 2021 and only passed 50 again twice in 46 innings. He has done nothing since in the longer format to merit a recall to test team. Hopes average in ODIs since January 2024 is 36, which is a far cry from his average of over 51 up to December 2023. His ODI batting has, therefore, been on the decline and cannot merit his recall into the test team.
