If pooran was from any other board, he'd have been playing test cricket. but when you have dunces who have made test cricket unattractive by waging war with their best players(Swallow's admin can be accused of many things but they have not had a civil war with the players and that indicates a level of humility that is to be noted): gayle, sarwan, chanderpaul twice, dwayne rav, darren bravo, erome taylor, denesh ramdin, brian lara twice. The wicb of past times has been typically reactionary by believing the t20 leagues and the west indies could not coexist. Every other board recognized they could, even IMF strapped Sri Lanka

england finished fifth in the WTC............atrocious for the amount of resources available to them. they ironically did better in the 21/23(mccullum was appointed in 2022) cycle than they did in the latest wtc cycle. even the amount of points they got was more so the mccullum argument holds no water. they even did better in the inaugural WTC cycle than they did in this one. and they're going to be slaughtered in the ashes dowen under because england have no bowlers right now

I have been critical of decision taken by Pooran.....But why single out Pooran....what about Klassen....he retired just few weeks ahead of Pooran.....refused central contract....there are single format players and there are multi formats players.........the concept of test cricket has gone sea changed...this can be seen from the fact that when two best teams plays......only 3 1/3 days, match ends.....the days of single format international players are coming to end.....just have look at the players of two final playing teams.....almost all are multi formats.....

breds thank god for caribbean airlines....as bad as you say they are. they have an almost flawless safety record and i know that if i jump on a plane to JA or new york, the chances of a malfunction because of negligence is next to none.

I submit that in 10 years time,
Pooran children and future grandchildren will be will taken care of.
They will have education opportunities and other prospects that the average Trini's and West Indians
(despite their vast intelligence) will not have due to their socioeconomic position.
I do not know or care if the same will be said of Bavuma.

We jump on the wagon criticizing our players for seeking financial stability.
We forget that most if not all of us have relatives and or associates,
who chose to leave their homelands in search of financial stability.

I left Barbados for Bermuda for such.
Many of you on this MD did the same.
What's the difference with the cricketers?

CWI treat the players like crap.
