Ireland have won the toss and have opted to field
Lewis is on strike.
Humphreys will open the attack
0.1
Humphreys to Lewis, no run, darted in on a good length, skids through, Lewis hangs back and defends
1.5
Mark Adair to Shai Hope, FOUR, miscued in the air but wide of third man! Good length ball outside off, Hope throws his bat at it and gets a thick edge as it nips away a touch. Third man runs across to his right as the ball goes high up. He puts in the dive but fails to get there
2.2
McCarthy to Lewis, FOUR, muscled down the ground! Short of length delivery angling away outside off, Lewis reaches out, goes hard and flat-bats it over mid-off. He lost his balance slightly as he went quite hard, but still made a good connection
2.5
McCarthy to Shai Hope, FOUR, wild swing from Hope and he gets a streaky boundary! Fuller than a good length around off, he looks to hack it through the on-side but it flies off a thick edge over short third
2.4
McCarthy to Shai Hope, SIX, launched down the ground! Good length ball outside off, Hope tries a similar shot in the previous over as well and got a thick edge on that occasion. Not this time. He middles this one and lofts it on the rise to clear the long-off boundary

Humphreys to Lewis, out Caught by Stirling!! Lewis falls for 91 as Humphreys strikes again! Amid all the carnage, the left-arm spinner has stood tall with figures of 2/12 with just four balls remaining in his quota. Darted in outside off, back of a length, Lewis goes hard on the pull but the ball skids through and rushes him. Ends up slicing it to extra cover where Stirling makes no mistake.

In reply to Chrissy
Yep. Agree would of been nice for him to get his 50. But it just means next time he plays he can be focused to go for that.
Let's see how our bowlers will defend this
In reply to Chrissy
That last 6 should have been a 7.
In reply to positiveg
Soup!
With chicken foot and cow skin to be exact.
In reply to natty_forever
Nice big hitting towards the end by Carty and co....
The cultural dancing during the innings break is more tasteful than the IPL and El Dorado men in pum pum shorts
In reply to mikesiva
Have to agree. Stamp our class.
Boy, remember the days when Carty would get real licks on this MB!!Lol. nothing before its time, oui!
In reply to voiceofreason
VOR, Carty has really matured as a batter. He proved me wrong and I am happy that he did. I saw him as more of a test batter due to his strike rate, which wasn't very high when he started. However, like Hope, he has shown that he can up the ante when required. Long may it continue. I'm really pleased with his progress.
Stirling and Ross Adair are at the crease.
Stirling is on strike.
Akeal Hosein will open the attack
0.3
Akeal Hosein to Stirling, FOUR, hat-trick of fours. This is peppering the off-side field. It's the full swinger outside off, comes back in like an inswinger, Stirling makes room and lofts over extra-cover, one bounce over the ropes
0.2
Akeal Hosein to Stirling, FOUR, to sweeper cover
0.1
Akeal Hosein to Stirling, FOUR, no hanging around from Stirling. It's tossed up full and wide outside off, he backs away and then lofts over extra-cover, the off-side field was up
Stirling and Ross Adair are at the crease. Stirling is on strike. Akeal Hosein will open the attack

Roston Chase to Tector, out Lbw!! What a good over this is and it ends with a wicket. A leg-stump full-toss, Tector shuffles across inside the line, sweeps and misses, that would have clipped leg-stump at worst. The ump thinks and raises the finger. Roston Chase once again proves to the man who breaks the stand.
