I still believe that in the WC after that Olympics it cost us both a gold and WR! Remember VCB refused to run and Aileen had to come in.
Convinced that VCB on the 3rd leg to Shelly (Stewart to Sherone on Back-stretch) would've been a record and faster than US' 2012 Olympic record too.

The athletes are no different. Indeed we need our scientists, doctors, nurses, teachers, electricians and plumbers way more.
Sure our athletes make us feel good but loyalty without reciprocity is dead, dead, dead.

True .long time. Teachers, nurses and doctors saw that light and other professionals did too.
While the pols prosper with ill gotten gains and such without qualification or even common
sense to uplift the people.
And they revel in the achievements of the athletes and dance and parade with what is not
the national flag as it has a white on it where the Hoist should be black...and no outstanding international performer
has ever considered for National Hero. And there are quite a few who are worthy and have
done more with their resources too to help their fellow men.
I know of none who has 20 financial accounts either.

True. I lay not blame or total responsibility on the JAAA alone, but the entire fraternity and country
and even the JOA. How well are they aiding,helping and taking care of athletes in areas
that they can ? A little as they say back then can make a muckle.

A simple 'silent' $5 tourist tax coulda create a fund fi tek care ah athletes. But wi dun know all administrations raid special funds.Heck, even NIS and NHT money help fund rich men's hotels in di name ah employment creation.
