Let the man build a resume because no one have a clue what his final stats will look like.

Most never saw Sobers but would rush to put Richards and Lara above him as a batsman or Kallis as an all-rounder.

SANGAKARA and GILCHRIST did there's over time. Pant might be better but time will prove that.

i agree. but facing carse and co aint like facing lillee and thomson....or even harmison and flintoff.

Of the lot, none compares to Sangakara bar none.
In 134 tests, Sangakara also had 38 test hundreds and 52 fifties with that healthy average.

Pant still has a way to go, just playing 43 tests so far, but I would say he stand taller than any other among any WK/ batsman today.

exactly....nobody in this generation can even tie ricky ponting's bootlaces. the vast majority of themn, save kane williamson and the recently retired virat kohli, are all equipped with techniques stuart clark would exploit with one over, not to mention attention spans that rival those of fleas with autism. You can only judge a man by the quality of the opposition he faces. vareun aaron said that bumrah may have been the best asian pacer ever, and i said what a bunch of ignorant hogwash. bumrah has had to bowl at smith and williamson at the top percentile and kraigg and shai hope at the lower percentile. Wasim akram and waqar younis had to bowl at viv, dessie haynes, gordon greenidge, ponting, allan border, dean jones, brian lara, sachin tendulkar at the top, and mike atherton, damien martyn, daryl culinanan, jacques kallis. chalk and cheese in terms of oppposition
