That's what the likes of Nick Pooran, Dwayne Bravo and Keiran Pollard tek beat the board..Chicken feed.
If you're honouring these guys for that historical feat can't we in the Caribbean recreate a honour equivalent to the British Knighthood for these guys?

Gift the families of the deceased members their loved ones share e.g. Fredericks, Boyce, Walcott

Why Maurice Foster, Gordon Greenidge, Vanburn Holder didn't show up?

An interesting fun fact, After retaining the cup in the 1979 edition, Sir Clyde Walcott came to Lloyd and told him he had been authorized by the board to give the team 50 pounds as some form of remuneration for the victory. Lloyd wrote he was appalled and it even made him want to cry. Then add to that the players not having uniforms on the eve of the 2016 world cup, the south africa 1998 incident, the india 2014 pull out. the WICB historically have custodians of the lowest quality of the the regional game, with the exceptions of Allan Rae, Wes Hall and Ricky Skerrit. Swallow and his team have made, in my opinion, some questionable decisions, but by and large they've treated the players very well and that is the first step to making a competitive side. It won't happen under demolition man though

Is this being sourced from the Pension scheme that was in place
for decades ? Players funded that mainly. Is it still operative ?
Last I heard a few decades ago was that it was invested badly
in some world market. Never verified that tho.

But any recognition is commendable if it is to correct a Wrong.
