This is like the 4th accusation in couple years...

A prominent Guyanese and West Indies cricketer has been accused of sexually assaulting a young woman, with disturbing allegations surfacing online and now under scrutiny by local media and potentially regional cricket authorities.

Screenshots of WhatsApp messages seen by Kaieteur News appear to show the cricketer apologizing for his actions and asking that the matter remain private. In one exchange, he also allegedly offered monetary compensation in an attempt to make amends, which was refused.

Kaieteur News has learned of at least four instances, with one prior incident that was reported to the police, where a statement was taken. However, that matter reportedly did not progress to formal charges and quietly faded from public view.

Its a shame an a tragedy IF proven to be true .....so what happens now in terms of his participation in the upcoming series...of course innocent until proven guilty but what frame of mind will he be in???

I didn't name him an as i said innocent until proven guilty.....yuh reckon this will remain a secret for long???.....an what happens if they suddenly say he has picked up an injury hence cannot play?? ....without implicating him in anything external....let's not fool ourselves!!

Why get the cricket boards involved at this stage? Isn't this a civil matter which should firstly be firmly dealt with by local law enforcement. After he serve his time then the cricket boards can do whatever they want.

I noticed in the article that attempts to file reports with the Guyana Police Force were unsuccessful. How ridiculous this is?

This is Guyana you know. Now that it made social media the police will finally take the report. It's how things work here unfortunately.

If you check social media his name was leaked, and if you Google that name there was a charge back in 2013 for the same thing with that name (could be a different person with same name, no picture was there)

It happened just before the player left Guyana..

Fat boy, Shep and Sherfane ain't return to Guyana as yet.. from de IPL, WI tour of England and now the MLC... so dem fellas marked safe lol

Don't think the 2013 story is with him.. a local social media influencer had a live discussing it on Facebook.

I personally knew about the one that was reported... big ones got involved and everything disappeared. Now another victim.
