He’s done excellently in white ball cricket. For some inexplicable reason he struggles in tests

because he cannot rely on people trying to hit quick runs off him in a limited period. In white ball cricket, they know they only have 4/10 overs of sweetness to take advantage of. In a test, it is an unlimited supply. But having said that, the man bowled the best spell of his life in Brisbane, keeping Oz in check while Shamar was polishing them off. He is owed at least one bligh for that!!

Give AlJo a break bro.

Not everyone can take wickets all the time.

He is a valuable member of the bowling attack.

Who do you think should replace him?

He bowls far to short the majority of the time a average of 35 is not acceptable for a spescialist bowler

You're changing the subject as a means of defense.
You have a team 5 down for spit on the 1st day and thanks tona wayward senior pacer and a skipper timid of bowling his "Frontline spinner" WI is playing attrition cricket from one end. Stuepsss!

You throwing shade on Aljo

Meanwhile…..he’s bowled 12 overs at 3.08 RPO

Seales has bowled 11 overs at 3 RPO

Greaves has bowled 8 overs at 3.25 RPO

So why is only Aljo getting criticized?

Thats not changing the subject. It’s right on point.

Bro..not that I need to defend the Music man but this is TEST Cricket and everything he has said are all solid facts when it comes to TESTS.

You can have excellent steady bowling at one end building pressure galore…lulling batsmen into thinking they will attack the OTHER bowler and get out…

But you know this…I am sure

Aljo had a bad day thus far.
but this is test cricket and maybe he needs more time in the middle.

I will withold my criticism until the end of the series.

Aljo had a serious back injury that plagues him before.
he is now back to full fitness,
he has speed, but his lengths and lines and deplorable.

He does not seem to be able to put 6 balls in the general same vicinity in an over.
At his speed, if he could do that,
allowing for seam and swing, he would be deadly.
But....(wait until series ends)

Alzarri is not as good as Phillips. Alzarri tries too many variations He needs to learn how to set batsmen up. He needs to show more patience and sometimes be content to peg away. He does give it his all nevertheless.

Alzarri discussion aside, I am happy to see two West Indies fast bowlers with decent averages in the low twenties. This hasn't been the case for a long time.

Visualize if you will those drop catches off your pardna instead of the GT bling man lol

Would the spills have resulted in:

1) a death stare at offenders?

2) a stupse for the ages?

3) curse words to shame a fisherman or pirate?

4) a fuming walk off to the pavillion?

lol

Defensiveness to a hard question! Should a decades-old international be consistently outbowled by two fairly new bowlers? Compare Cummins replacing Stark to Aljo replacing Seales.
Music pointing out rpo without realizing that Aljo's economy is worse and the wicket column is zero!
Pow, this was not the occasion for "steady bowling" at one end. but all out attack with the most senior bowler playing a key role. 50+for 4, Aljo instead of being the weakest link should have been his skippers Trump card. If men like Kraig, Blackwood Chase considered wutliss for decades old vets then Josephs?
