Maybe that's a good thing!
We won 2 T20 World Cup playing with only 10 men, with the extent of Passenger Sammy's involvement being to spin the toss and clap!!

Why?
I hold no brief for the perennial failures - the likes of Campbell, Brathwaite, Hope, et al
All these non- cricketers are not immune to be dropped, unlike the formerly entrenched passenger who was rewarded for his ineptitude with being named captain of the teams in all formats.
Then, again, being named coach in all formats despite lack the basic qualification which was advertised as a prerequisite for the job.
Why?

A funny thing about lies and conspiracy theories, they don't have to be factual. Out of curiosity I just looked at the box score for our T20 victory and was shocked to see that Sammy's 26 off 15 deliveries was the second highest score after Marlon Samuel's 78 off 56. In addition he got 2 for 6 from his two overs. Looks like he did a little more than spin the toss and clap as his detractors would have us believe. Oh well...

I guess you realize that his being unteachable and inconsistent means he doesn't deserve a spot.
In a well-run organization that can develop talent then yes he'd be dropped for Phillips.
