This is deflating and can change the game to Oz favor. These guys don't seem to be specialist slip fielders.

Slip catching in red ball cricket is a learned art which requires lots of practice and more importantly match practice.

Sometimes you have balls flying toward your face and have only a split second to take the catch. Other times the ball just balloons off the bat and you have to dive forward to take the catch. Then you have those awkward ones where you have to make a split second decision to take the catch fingers up or fingers down. And for course you have the ones where you have dive either side of you to take the catch.

And no, you can't learn all of this playing junk lickit cricket.

Since the 1st inns, I was saying our bowlers should give up this nonsense call WI cricket and go play around the world and make money.
Let them jackasses dropping the catches go and try to bowl fast. razz razz

Justin Greaves mostly plays red ball cricket

He earned his way on to the WI team based on his performances in red ball cricket

He’s also one of the best fielders in the team and is one of their best slippers (see Oz series in Oz for reference)

He’s so far taken one, and dropped 2 catches in the slips.

Equating the dropped chances with players who mostly play the most abbreviated form of the game is agenda driven……as shown by

West Indies have dropped 7 catches thus far in this match

3 by Brandon King
2 by Justin Greaves
1 by Roston Chase
1 by John Campbell

2 of the abovementioned players play red ball cricket almost exclusively.

Those 2 are specialist slippers.

Using T20 cricket as the reason is “junk science” emanating from junk minds
