Under what he was selected Idk . Nothing special about him from inception to now . 21 test average 25 . How can you bring back someone like this to international cricket . Out cupboard are empty but we don’t need to go back to this . These guys need to work and dominate to get a recall . Play the youngsters. Give the. The same opportunities.

It gives you an idea of the paucity of International batting talent in the region. By the next game you are going to hear folks clamoring for a new flavor of the Month not realizing that it will not make a difference because they are all flawed.

So ironic that you should say that but if you look at the stats and even though we are talking in mediocrity terms but Campbell is actually the best opener out of the last 4 openers against Australia. You failed to consider the fact that both Braithwaite and Chanderpaul the last two openers, averaged under 8 runs against Australia. So instead of being insular check the stats, I always say that opening positions against Australia are career-ending positions.

Campbell is not even outstanding at the regional level, so selection to the Test team has been a questionable move by the Selectors. Campbell's technique and shot selection has always been streaky

What is really questionable was the selection of Braithwaite, who just last year averaged 8.0 runs against the same team Australia and yet he was selected over Louis, that should have been your argument or you are just being insular?

If Braithwaite does not make a fifty or a few forties in this series, this might be the end of the road for him. He has not improved his technique, lately he is looking worse. The Selectors might be giving him the opportunity to reach the number of playing 100 Tests. However, he still a more dependable batter than Campbell

How is Braithwaite a more dependable batsman, are you really listening to yourself?? He averaged 8.0 runs last year against Australia which was better than his current average of 4.0. Campbell has been out of test cricket for a number of years and currently working on his form, started first innings with 7 runs, then improved to 23 runs in the 2nd innings, all mediocre runs but it shows that he is looking to improve his game as he goes along. So, tell me now, we are not talking about past exploits, we are talking about West Indies vs Australia, how is Braithwaite more dependable batsman??

If Campbell plays the rest of the series, chances are he will not get to 35 in any innings. He falls over to the offside making him an lbw candidate.

I can live with the falling over. It is the Bellevue moments when he is at the crease that get to me.

Campbell should be dropped. His shot selection when he had two whole days to bat, was at best horrible. Apart from the obvious players, we need to identify dome young players and drop the top order, including the captain.

Camobell's issue is he trys to play every ball. Gets a boundary or plays a good couple of shots, the chest starts pumping and then he does something daft.

the head coach is new, the bowling coach is new, it’s a learning experience, the batting coach, needs a review. Keep the same team for the next test.but king should bat #5or6.
