After viewing those teams playing Test cricket, I sensed that Sammy is truly living in a dream world, if he expects to be in the final of the WTC in 2029. I don’t think that Sammy, with all due respect, will be around as coach at that time. He certainly needs a coaching course.

Challenge the facts in the article that makes clear Sammy Is A Silly Dreamer, I dare you! But then I shouldn't because your 1st swipe is only strengthening the man's strongest point. At the time of Sammy's comments Oz was and still is the #1 ranked test team. Saying that by the time the series comes around 'We will be ready to compete' was not just ambitious and hopeful considering Sammy axed a significant part of the batting lineup that beat Oz in Oz; it was also unwise
But, the most important thing Davis said was that the team based on skill and technique i.e. batting, fielding and psychology was not properly prepared for a test match. And that is Sammy's responsibility. Hopefully he and the team do better next test.

Please tell me you aren't saying Brian Davis with 46 English County 50's and 3 50's in 4 tests is talentless.
Anyone of his talent today could walk into a WI team. His only test series was against the team then known
as 'The Mighty Australians' until we beat them. There are Trumpsters and there are Scamsters for Scammy

But in all fairness were we expected to beat Australia, regardless of the 11 we put out there. We needed a bit of luck, which we didn't help ourselves with 6 drop catches. The umps decision, not 1 but 2 broke the back of a weak team.

2. I was informed that we would be aggressive and that the Deficient One has the elixir to get us into a fighting unit.
3. Umpires are humans and we know all that goes along with humanity and umpires in the game of cricket. It cuts both ways.

I guess OZ were prepared ! They got bowled out for less than 200 after electing to bat first! I guess the primary school writer forgot to mention the ridiculous umpiring decisions that affected the outcome of the match. These guys are just after one thing alone: Destroy Sammy! So wtf Sammy supposed to convince the team to aim for? To not finish last in the Test table? Middle of the table?
I never once saw these guys come out and criticize Phil Simmons oh yeah he is one of theirs.
