How many innings more are we giving to them? This is a 3 match series.

India made 3 changes. After one test.

I hope Sammy do the same.

Young Anderson to replace Brathwaite
Move Brandon up or Graves up.
Bring in Imlach for VC. We need an extra batter .

We keep doing the same things, in hope.

ICC give we the same ump so we bring the same team…only seems fair

Brathwaite and Campbell are the greatest openers of all time! How dare we consider dropping them? They will get as many matches as they need until their averages drop below 20.

Of course dropping Tage with a 33 average made total sense.

I've been following cricket since the 60's. Can't recall 4 times where an extra batter has ever made any difference in a match. But I can recall many, many times when 5 bowlers were needed to get 20 wkts. In the great WI teams Allrounders (Sobers, Worrell, Smith) balanced the team. In the other era 76-92 Murray and Dujon were the allrounders as there were always 4 great bowlers with no need for a 5th. Other teams Julien and Bravo were the allrounders then Hooper and then Gayle 'rested' bowlers. Otherwise, success depended on 5 specialist bowlers.

That’s when we used to have batsmen. Can’t say the same now. In those times team used to fear us . And our bowler can defend or dismantle any team.

This Australia attack is the best in the world at the moment. That’s why we need to play an extra batter

If most of the WI batters are of the same quality playing the extra batter will not make a difference most of the time, actually some of the WI lower batters are just as consistent as the higher order batters. However, if Braithwaite does not make a half century in the present series, he should go out with grace by either retiring or make himself unavailable for the next tour. I never believed that Campbell have the patience for Test cricket, so I will not be surprised if he is dropped after the series.

Sadly, he does nothing to prove you incorrect.

Not extra, reliable is what we need. 5 bowlers is a must, gets 20 wickets more times than not. Playing the extra batter has not proven beneficial at all. To think that 2 bad umpiring decisions could make such a difference, but it did.

I don't need the series to be concluded to conclude that Campbell is an irresponsible batter. Here's hoping he make good scores, however, it will take more than a series for me to be convinced he has matured. So far, the madness continues.

There should be a bowlers column for Campbell's stats because more times than not he takes his own wicket. In reply to JoeGrine

Brathwaite's last test century was two years ago. Since then, he has had over 30 test innings and averages 19 in that period.

Well done for the longevity but something has to change...and fast!
