What to expect:
Considering the National Stadium is nestled between two mounts, each of which are resplendent with lush green rainforests, the surface in the middle of the ground stands out even more starkly. For, it looks bone dry, save for a smattering of green grass just rolled in. With the sun baking down on it already, and expected to do so even more over the next few days, it's expected to dry up further and then start to break up late in the piece with the cracks coming into play. Chances are that this Test might not be played on fast forward like last week and might be more of a slow burn.

Cummins spoke about how lovely the people have been here, including the chef at his hotel talking about how he cooked fish for Ricky Ponting and Matthew Hayden back in 2007, when they were part of Australia's World Cup winning team.

Alzarri Joseph to Khawaja, out Lbw!! Alzarri Joseph draws first blood! Back of a length delivery from round the wicket with some extra bounce and the batsman gets beaten due to the movement. Struck on the pads and the replays confirm there was no bat involved. Impact's in line and it's clipping the top of middle and leg. The onfield decision stays and Khawaja will have to walk back to the pavilion. Australia will retain the review though as it was umpire's call.

Anderson Phillip to Sam Konstas, out Caught by Shai Hope!! Edged and taken! This was always on the cards. He survived several times before, but this one had his name written on it. Anderson Phillip goes full outside off and the ball nips away sharply. Sam Konstas goes for a drive away from his body and the outside edge has been taken by the keeper. Both the openers have been dismissed in back-to-back overs. \

Alzarri Joseph to Smith, out Caught by Anderson Phillip!! Did that distraction break his concentration? Smith has holed out to long leg and Australia have lost three on the bounce - banged in short and at the stumps, Smith shuffled across and was looking to use Joseph's pace on the pull, he doesn't get on top of the bounce, a masive top-edge is found and Phillip has plenty of time to settle under it - he keeps calm and completes a fine catch.

Jayden Seales to Green, no run, chance and Campbell has dropped it, they missed 7 chances in the first Test, the count starts here - full and wide of off, lured Green into the drive and he couldn't keep it down, went at a good height to the right of cover, Campbell got both hands and it burst out

Jayden Seales to Green, out Caught by Roston Chase!! West Indies go to lunch on a high - that missed chance hasn't cost them more than a single, another loose drive to a wide awayswinger, another edge and Chase has taken a good catch, right across at gully. Green was very tenattive to that line and length and it has caused his downfall. His feet hardly moved as he went chasing with hard hands

Shamar Joseph to Head, out Caught by Shai Hope!! Shamar Joseph gets the big fish. Head is gone as it's a clean catch by Shai Hope. Was a shortish delivery outside off and Head tried to fend it away. Got somewhat surprised due to the steep bounce and ended up getting an outside edge. Hope extends his left arm out and plucks out a well-judged low catch, just inches above the ground. Enough fingers underneath the ball and the third umpire reckons it's a clean catch. Australia have lost half their side with plenty of overs remaining in the opening day of this Test. But they can't afford to be complacent as the Australian lower-middle order batters made the difference in the previous Test. Can't afford to take them lightly by any means

Anderson Phillip to Carey, no run, dropped! That's a regulation catch which Shai Hope has put down. West Indies continue to be poor in the field. Short ball banged into the surface, Carey stands tall and plays the ramp, does not get the elevation to clear Hope who jumps up and gets his hands all messed up. The ball hits his fingertips and drops wide of the slip fielder. How costly will that be?

Justin Greaves to Carey, out Caught by Brathwaite!! That's a sitter and Greaves has broken through for the West Indies - short of a good length and angling across the left-hander, Carey stayed on the front-foot as he shaped for the pull, doesn't get anywhere near the middle of the bat and spoons a simple catch to Brathwaite at mid-wicket. The shoulders were beginning to droop, a big wicket in the contest of restricting Australia to a reasonable score.

Alzarri Joseph to Cummins, out Bowled!! Chopped on! Alzarri has been impressive today and he's got his third wicket, but Cummins will feel mighty unlucky to be at the recieving end of an absolute grubber, was banged into the pitch and had Cummins hopping up in defence, but this one shoots from a length and Cummins has no chance of getting his bat down in time, ricocheted off the pad and it then crashed into the middle-stump.

like in the first test, whoever wins the first session of the third day wins the match. Two days of fighting cricket from the WI and Oz Board must be saying that they are justified in asking for the 3 test series as it has not been one sided boring cricket despite the massive loss in the first test. My side going forward for the 3rd test:
Imlach
Campbell
Carty
King
Hope
Chase
Warrican
Shamar
Aljo
Phillips
Seales
As Chase now clearly regards himself as a part time bowler only, we need a frontline spinner. Warrican will score at least as many as Greaves and will take at least as many wickets. The only real loss is that Greaves is the only real slipfielder in the side. Somehow I do not think that the Hope experiment will survive this test series so we should see Imlach back as keeper and Anderson to make his debut. I suspect that the (sadly) walking wicket Carty will have to step aside for Anderson. I also suggest that Silva, who still has the highest score against Australia for probably the last 10 years at least, should open in the Super50 to show Sammy his worth as Brathwaite also should not survive this season absent at least one century in these last 3 innings.

Alexei: "Carty has had enough chances at no. 3 now, let's move on to the new kid on the block: Kevlon Anderson. Remember the name!!" -- WI were probably hoping for him to translate his ODI form into this arena. But after two rather uninspiring games, they might be tempted to ring in the changes...

King should stay, maybe Chase. All the rest should be dropped and replaced with Louis, Hodge, Jangoo, Da Silva, Imlach. Even give Jason Mohammed and Kevlon Anderson a go. They actually play red ball cricket. This idea that white ball champs can make it at Test level is rubbish.

Win has nothing to do with it. The game is started knowing you have fairly experienced red ball players.
Most of our top 6 plays exclusively white ball. Only Carty and Craig play a decent amount of red ball cricket.

Last time at Bina was 2009 for ODI involving India. Have not been back to that
shore since.
The Pity is that Greenfield CG in Trelawny has not been developed as a Test center.
The Aussie tourists like all others would certainly enjoy being closer to some of the
finest Beaches stretching from Doctors Cave to the St Ann Parish in the country plus Dunns River Falls and rafting on White River and
Rio Bueno in Trelawny. Not to mention all those exotic foods in the many places on the North Coast.
I think they will have a lot of time on their hands as this D/N game should not last
more than two days.
Ah well.
