If West Indian fans can't call out the failures and shortcomings of their players without rebuke, then something is wrong with us. Friends, and those who care about the players, never lie to them. I am happy to witness slight improvements in Alzarri. Seales has improved leaps and bounds, and shows that he is learning fast. Shamar Joseph, although he used every opportunity with purpose, and looks good, I would wait a while to judge his development. So far good, and without interruptions, I expect improvements. But, part of their proper development depends on batting that allows them sufficient time to recover. When West Indian batsmen go out to bat, one of their preoccupation should be to give their bowlers enough time to rest. According to the Australian skipper, even if they never played in Grenada before, part of their excitement is thinking on their feet to come to grips with the unknown. Our players must adopt
that policy too.
