The man averages @25.....that was a team consisting of...
Gayle
Lara
Chanderpaul
Hooper
Sarwan

The much maligned Wavell Hinds...@ 33...he played many matches as opener, ...but still way better....Sherwin Campbell @31.. performed much above big mouth, media savvy , politically well connected Ganga....
Ganga ...an utter failure, underperforming player....was able to play so many test because of Lara....

I have no problem with Bishop.

The difference is that Bishop was definitely a world beater back in his day and he would have reached even greater heights if it were not for that back injury.

Secondly, he doesn't spend his entire time on commentary giving coaching lessons on batting and team tactics. As far as I am concerned the primary job of a commentator is to entertain the audience. Ganga simply doesn't do that.

The primary function of the commentator is to inform on what is happening in the match and also to share their analysis.

we have been complaining about kraigg, who averaged 33 prior to the start of this series. half the reason gayle and sarwan don't average more is because wavell was as useful as kraigg. he would be out most times before 10 overs were up. you can't expect even top flight players to succeed in that position. Also, ganga wasn't a natural opener. his best stats are actually at number 3, where his two hundreds against the australians came.

Ganga...playing 48 matches...87 innings...@25.... solely due to Lara magnanimity.....infact, Ganga occupied no.3, at the cost of benching Sarwan.....

A big mouth, media savvy, politically well connected..CWI eat- foodie....total 3 centuries in 87 innings.....

Also, one does not have to the greatest cricketer to be the best coach or commentator.

not technically. but as i said earlier, ganga wasn't mentally tough enough to be a consistent test performer, wheras gayle, who didn't have any technique was, simply because gayle was mentally a very strong player

I beginning to believe that Granite is Ganga.

Lawwwwsss... I liked Ganga...but that didnt last long...even before he retired I realized that he had more gift of gab than runs in the tab.

He was a respected TnT Captain, no doubt but for yeaaaars now ...if you were not alive and didnt have a google device you would believe that he helped train Lara and studied under Sir Gary
