Any fool could tell them
Hodge Athanaze are potentially much better than these guys ( carty King Kraigg and Campbell)

Selectors are a disgrace play these batters
In reply to allan
That is why, the selectors are doing their jobs, while you are posting stupidity, because you want to say something.
and not because you have something worthwhile today.
In reply to Edrich
How is carty or king better than Athanaze and Hodge
Put the comparison numbers and stop talking shite
In reply to allan
Selector! Not plural.
You guys actually comparing mediocre players athanaze hodge ,carty greaves chase makes no diferent they are all thrash at this level
In reply to velo
Here thinking the same thing. However I see them as the same, not trash.
In reply to allan
Selectors? It's one man selecting the team.
Chief selector, head scout and head coach.
In reply to velo
We won in Australia and Pakistan with Athanaze and hodge
I am not a fan of the one selector. I rather the 3 selectors
In reply to allan
Mikhyle Louise
Alick Athanaze
Casey Carty
Brandon king
Shai Hope
Kavem Hodge
Roston Chase
Justin Greaves
Alzarri Joseph
Shamar Joseph
Jaden Seales
See how long that batting line up is? With more hopeful batsmen at the top of the order…. Come on guys
Isn’t this a way better 11
In reply to chantilly
Did you list the batsmen last?
In reply to allan
six of one, half a dozen of the other
In reply to velo
As usual you are the voice of reason. I always laugh when they gripe about team selection when one their home boys are not selected. Six of one half a dozen of the other. How are we supposed to compete without one International quality batsman in the region ?
In reply to chantilly
Unfortunately those are just names and the game is not played on paper.
In reply to allan
stop this nonsense, you should know better, it makes no difference who or whom you select, the batmanship is not there, besides the names you listed all just played and did not fare any better, just support the guys, whoever plays and stop calling for changes, the fact is that australia is better than the west indies
With that said, our bowling is world-class. To take 40 wickets in 4 days of test cricket against a better team than yours is not something to scoff at. Well done to the bowling unit
In reply to chantilly
I like that team better than the one we have now.
Sadly no batsman would make a difference. We just do not have any batsmen in the West Indies who can really bat. At international level, an average batsman should have a test average at least in mid 30s and a good batsman would be in mid 40s and up. However, we do not have anyone who can even reach mid thirties. Ergo, our batting is not up to international level. Unless that can be changed, we can never go anywhere.
In reply to allan
At least allyu char say that it is bias against small islands. Carty is from St Martin, only smaller than Grenada and St Kitts Nevis
In reply to JoeGrine
It look so…right now in very sure that Shamar is a better bat than both Kraigg and Campbell
In reply to Kalinago
The evidence so far is that carty isn’t a test nbatsman
Neither is king or Campbell
Kraigg is probably no longer a cricketer

You’re not going to just beat Australia. They’ve been the most consistent team ever. I can’t remember a bad Australian team…ever. Anyways, we’re competing but we can do better. The names I listed are just better than the ones I left out…. Not that they’re going to come in and beat Australia but it’s the building of a better team. That batting lineup I named is not getting bowled out in 27 overs. When was the last time one of our bowlers was the leading wicket taker in a series yet we’re down 2 nil after 2 games? We’re doing some things right, we just need to start doing other things better. Play better batsmen and take your catches.
In reply to chantilly
Which batting line up? Where's the batting line up that you're talking about?
A bunch of guys that can't even buy a run in the FC system you got in there...
Why can't players that actually performed make that shyte team?
Lewis,Hety,Holder,Silva,Bravo,Hodge,Bonner, Blackwood......can be added
In reply to Onionman0
As usual the ones not in the starting eleven are always the better options. I know it hurts because we once had great players and dominated. Those days are long gone and we are now looking at a region devoid of International batting talent. The fact that you included Bonner as a better option is indeed very funny. It is very likely he would have had a concussion playing against this Aussie attack than getting to double figures.
In reply to NYCGURU
I said few more batters can be added.....I am taking about coming 6 tests ....1 vs Aus...2 vs India....3 vs N.Z. ....at the end of New Zealand test series.... assessment possible.....all these sides are top sides.... West Indies lying at the bottom....last time West Indies beat Australia at home...21 years....beat India in India 30 years....Beat N.Z. in N.Z. 35 years.... The work is cut out...
These players can be added accordingly....in India.. Sinclair,Motie, Warrican few others also....
Looking back (which is always easy, I admit) perhaps Chase, King and Hope, our new middle order, should have played the South Africa A series rather than touring England and Ireland to get some fourth innings practice. Silva, Imlach and Anderson, who all performed well in the FC season but do not meet Sammy's metric of taking the fight to the opposition could have been given a chance to do just that on that tour. I see the renewed calls for a longer FC season. To me, playing the same teams with (no disrespect intended) players who have limitations makes no sense. It is better that we have a FC season followed by a Headley Weekes with 3 or 4 teams with the best players from the FC season plus an invitational A team or FC team from another country to ensure that all players get a minimum of 7 FC games but our better players get some consistently hard cricket for at least 3 additional games plus at least an away A tour annually. Clearly our regional standard is so low that we need to focus on getting the better players to get some higher standard cricket.

I like your XI
In reply to allan
Allan you cannot just say stuff on the boards without any justification, the stats are very public and fans memories are not short. Just last year against Australia, Athanaze could not buy a run, in fact he averaged less than 5 runs for the entire series. To put his batting performance in perspective, 3 of our bowlers actually scored more runs than him, even VOR tries to distance himself from Athanaze
In reply to allan
I agree, but hodge and Alik, are not in the 15,the 15, selected.moreover, the match is being played in Jamaica, Campbell should be given, one last chance. Drastic changes are better, and are more acceptable, at series, end, or prior to the start.
In reply to Slipfeeler
Hodge
Alick
Kirk MacKenzie
Plus Hope
Chase
Campbell
Louis
I believe that’s the future of your batting
In reply to allan
what's the justification fuh leaving out King???....i think you just like playing with names...something to do i guess!!
In reply to CCW
To leave out King but not Hope just puts his posts in perspective.
