I told you hope, chase and brathwaite were not up to international standard in the test game. Shai Hope has an issue outside offstump and with the short ball. They have both been exposed on the seaming wickets we have played on in Barbados. Kraigg is a proven failure, he should not be anywhere near this team. If I were Sammy, I’d start the ball rolling for the next tour by eating humble pie and inviting Darren Bravo, a batsman clearly of international standard back to play in the WI test side. I would also invite Joshua Da Silva who was the second highest run scorer and Imlach, who was fourth in the 4-day tournament to the line up

That is it there

The right combo to make WI world conquerors

Why did Sammy not think of that ?

I think Tarnish, Imlach and Barvo would be great for WI

Our team at Brisbane in Jan 2024

Kragg
Chanderpaul
McKenzie
Athanaze
Hodge
Greaves
da Silva
Sinclair
Alzarri
Roach
Shamar

Those who've come in and replaced Tage, McKenzie, Athanaze, Hodge, da Silva, Sinclair and Roach have not improved the team. On the contrary, they've weakened the Test side further.

Windies today is mediocre; and have been for decades; they will continue to be mediocre and a disgrace until the individual countries take charge and WICB is disbanded forever.

If the dotish Haynes had not chased Bravo stating that he is investing in Carty and Athanaze (barely averaging 20 in tests between the two of them with 3 half centuries in about 20 tests) then, we may at least have had one solid batsman in the top 7. Instead we have none and no allrounder. We are a team with 2 1/2 seam bowlers and possibly a 1/2 spinner (who almost never bowls - I speak of Warrican and not Chase) and nothing else. At best it is 3 men of international standard playing other test teams.

I am aware Barbados has not produce a great batsman since Dessie, apart from Lara can you name two great batsman from T&T?
