Now that the first 2 matches in this series (WI v AUS) have predictably gone the way of the Aussies, expect more of the same in match 3 AND in the next two away series (see below).
I expect certain "hand selected" players by the next series will opt for the easy paycheck in the competing franchise leagues of the day. This is unfair to players who committed themselves to the longer version here and did well at the WI Championship - People like Da Silva, Anderson, Imlach et al. So if we really serious about building, we cannot lay our Hopes on any anointed King but rather give the above guys the opportunity to make a name for themselves.
WI will disband soon anyway so may as well let the men get a last taste of Test Cricket. My predictions for each series stated
June 2025: West Indies vs Australia - 3 Tests (Home) (0-3)
October 2025: India vs West Indies - 2 Tests (Away) (2-0)
November 2025: New Zealand vs West Indies - 3 Tests (Away) (3-0)
June 2026: West Indies vs Sri Lanka - 2 Tests (Home) (1-1)
July 2026: West Indies vs Pakistan - 2 Tests (Home) (0-1)
October 2026: Bangladesh vs West Indies - 2 Tests (Away) (1-1)
