People can say things without genuinely meaning it ....so i guess when he told Mulder he should have gone fuh the record AFTER the fact an likewise saying Tiger deserved a good send off but knowing his record would be safe cause he(Tiger) was never going to be allowed to pass it ..Lara may sound very gracious but he's a bluff an a cochore with an ego to match an i believe he would like to see his name on top of the leader board in lights fuh EVER!!

Can’t be trinidadians you’re talking about. Hadda be Dotties when coming to their cult like worship of IVA Richards. Or Bajans when referring to Jason Holder( dais how low their standards have sunk). You will always hear me criticize Lara for campaigning for captaincy, and even that can be partially attributed to Richie Richardson’s chaotic tenure where
1. Viv was not selected for the World Cup
2. Desmond Haynes was not appointed captain and later dropped totally on frivolous grounds for which he successfully sued the then WICBC.
3. Finally lost the unbeaten mantle after 15 years.

Richie wasn’t anywhere near the captaincy conversation so when he was appointed, it created a power vacuum that allowed any upstart who was performing well, like Lara was, to stake his claim for a position which they should have been groomed for
