News coming in from Jamaica that Australia have left out Nathan Lyon, they are going with four pacers for this pink ball Test.

So Oz drop a spinner for an extra pacer and we drop a pacer for a spinner.
Let's see who made the correct call.

bring in Mikyle Louis in his place. They have handed a debut to Kevlon Anderson, who is carded to bat at No. 3, leaving out Keacy Carty. And Jomel Warrican is back as well.

West Indies: 1 Mikyle Louis, 2 John Campbell, 3 Kevlon Anderson, 4 Brandon King, 5 Roston Chase (capt), 6 Shai Hope (wk), 7 Justin Greaves, 8 Alzarri Joseph, 9 Shamar Joseph, 10 Jomel Warrican, 11 Jayden Seales

Australia: 1 Usman Khawaja, 2 Sam Konstas, 3 Cameron Green, 4 Steven Smith, 5 Travis Head, 6 Beau Webster, 7 Alex Carey (wk), 8 Pat Cummins (capt), 9 Mitchell Starc, 10 Josh Hazlewood, 11 Scott Boland

Absurdity...Warrican in....how many overs, will he bowl...or he has been selected as batter...

The biggest question mark around West Indies' selection revolves around Kraigg Brathwaite, who's coming off his 100th Test. With 15 runs across 4 innings, the time might have come for the former captain to get the axe with Mikyle Louis waiting in the wings. There could also be a change at No. 3 with Keacy Carty having failed to look up to the task so far. Roston Chase did also hint at bringing back his vice-captain Jomel Warrican after the four-prong pace attack ploy in Grenada.

Don't know the reason why we felt we needed to change the bowling line up.

KB's drop was expected but not happy with Carty's drop. Carty was called to open in all 4 innings.

That's the role of number 3...to open when the opener fails.

The point however is that Carty is not a number 3 in Test cricket.

He seems better suited for white-ball cricket.

I rarely agree with anything WI does these days..Carty should not have been dropped. Agree with Louis coming
in for Paint.that was obvious. Don't agree with Warri instead of Phillip. Phillip would have found this strip
more to his liking too...And my best wishes for Anderson on debut in a D/N Test.
I cannot recall a Guyanese doing even fairly well on Debut at Sabina Park.
Going back to 1955 when Glendon Gibbs was flown in at the last minute to replace injured Captain
Stollmeyer and he had horrible game that began with dropping Arthur Morris and ball bouncing over his head
into the boundary on the first morning.
The last two I recall were Hetty and a fellow called Singh whose stumps were hit so hard it shook my TV.
And all this while Blackwood was sidelined on his home turf.
I am pulling for young Anderson to break the miserable streak. But not feeling very confident.
Good luck to all, tho.smile

Did he? I don't recollect.

I saw it hitting the pads and I instantly thought it was gonna hit the top of leg!

Like the field setting now...packed off side.

Need another wicket before lunch!
