Debutant or not catches will be dropped but to laugh after dropping a catch when the bowler is bowling his heart out is just idiocy...it kinda tells yuh why Windies cricket is where it is.... do you see any other team reacting to a drop catch with amusement???

Exactly my point! I wasn't surprised that he went grinning ear to ear after dropping that catch. While dropping catches is criminal in other teams, it's "too cool" in Windies cricket!!

nothing to do with being like "them" i just wanna win....too much skin teet an hi -fiving as a show of encouragement when yuh dropping catches ( an that was the 10th in the series) even an elementary bit of fielding gets a hi-five an a pat on the back nowadays.

Being a debutant is more reason to take a catch. We no longer. care about fundamentals. From primary school your top order became slippers and were drilled in agility, catching, judgment and knowing whose catch it is such as who dives right or left. Now we have players getting to test level who can't field squat. WI hasn't had a proficient specialist slippers in 20yrs.
