West Indian selectors know how to stop any cricketers progress.Just look how they give long run to shit hongs and very short runs to some, selectors can kill any cricketer career they have already done so to a few they also know how to stop a cricketers progress. Many posters know the score but they only care about their own.
WI selectors have been stinking dutty scum bags since we started playing test cricket.I HOPE OUR YOUNG CRICKETERS TAKE NOTE AND DO YOUR BEST TO GO TO USA or Canada, some will have to leave because Windian selectors do not want them.

With both openers out, two non-traditional openers had to step up and the Deficient One was between a rock and a hard place. Any choice he made would be criticized:

King - (CON) why move him from #4 when he is doing so well this series. (PRO) - he opens for Windies in the shorter format.
Anderson - (CON) he is on debut, let him come in at #3 (PRO) - a #3 should expect to come in after one ball in the match so he should have been ready.
Hope - (CON) he just finished wicketkeeping chores and needed a rest. (PRO) - he was arguably the one best fitted to open in this scenario.
Greaves - (CON) he has never opened at this level. (PRO) - Bernard Julien had to opened against Thompson, Lillee, Gilmour, and Walker in Perth of all places.

I have no problem with the "openers" chosen neither would I have had a problem with Hope or Greaves opening.
Anderson did look "at sea" and he clearly needs work. If he is who many think he is, he will rebound.

Do you know that Keith Boyce padded up to open in Australia, but Lloyd stopped him?
Do you know that Ganga, Hope, Sir Viv and Adrian Griffith were not openers but opened for Windies?
Do you realize that #3 Batsmen come in early when a wicket falls early?

Your lists is incomplete bro.
Hope just completed approximately 450 squats, including diving for balls etc.
Greaves bowled 14 overs; and I wonder how many miles he ran in those.

Anderson was slated for #3,which meant he could be in as early as the 2nd ball of the innings.

I am sure that the management and team discussed the tactics.
Anderson had to be part of that discussion.
It is hard for him to face Starc, but this s test cricket.

I am hoping that Anderson comes good in the future.
Anderson has to chart his career.
A good diet regime.
A good fitness regime.
A good mental counseling regime.
Lots and lots of cricket, especially batting practice.

He looked at sea in the field and especially at the crease yesterday.

this is why i love the nature of australia fans and their cricket structure they don't make excuses or whine like sissy girls if you are paid to bat you bat regardless if you are a rookie or not or what ever position
,they trying to kill his career for doing something that he is being paid to do? it was not ideal but he is a top order batsman at number 3

can't argue with much there....in regards to Anderson it's unfortunate he had to open given the circumstances but he was listed to bat at #3 which is like opening in this team....its for this very reason (an i did post this) i would have retained Kraigg for no other reason than i did not want to see a debutant exposed to these most difficult conditions against the best attack in world ...not saying Kraigg would have done better but at least he would not have been overwhelmed by the occasion....i always believe in easing a youngster into a team in the most favourable conditions against lesser opponents in the hope that they get off to reasonable start in their career an hence build confidence cause as you know this is a game also played in the head....it was painful to watch Anderson like a deer in headlights but hopefully it hasn't been too mentally damaging an has a 2nd inns to redeem himself but entirely based on how he looked in the 1st making double figures would be an achievement!

We must make excuses for all who in the past have experienced what Anderson has in this match.

Poor WI cricket, you are being blamed for selecting, a batsman the whole region was rallying for his inclusion. Selectors, you’ll did your job, now he controls his destiny.

I hope Anderson does well in the future

Look at the replays
The balls were swinging in to him and his bat was moving in an arc toward offside with the face of the bat ending almost parallel to the ground

Ball moving one direction bat moving opposite direction, essentially playing around the ball

He even tried to counter the swing by moving down the wicket but used the same technical flaw and played around the ball, same result completing missing the ball

That technical deficiency is quite serious and has to be corrected soon
I really hope he looks at the replays and someone talks to him
