WI best batsmen seemingly are ones not playing

Both selectors and fans in their desperate bid to find the new Lara, Richards, Clive Lloyd, Haynes or Lawrence Rowe, for the past 15 years have been forcing players who are talented but immature and very inexperienced into the test team which in many cases led to failure, loss of confidence, many unable to recover from the psychological “test”, resulting in the loss of another potentially great West Indian player due to lack of coaching and management skills by CWI. Anderson is not the first or the last of such ridiculous selection. Imagine selectors prefer to select a young player whom should be coached and groomed for the future but might not be yet ready to play against one of the best bowling attack in the world, meanwhile ignoring a player has already proven himself against the Australian bowlers. What in the world is wrong with our selectors? This inconsistency and copying and pasting players is destroying our cricket, ranking and respectability in cricket.

There is a young Jamaican who some would say was "not yet ready to play against one of the best bowling attacks in the world" on their home grounds in Australia last year, Kirk McKenzie was that player. I am sure you were happy the selectors "selected a young player" then.

Now look at young Louis, obviously both he and Anderson are talented young players but not yet matured or prepared to face one of the best test bowling units in the world but with so many failing WI batsmen, why not select McKenzie who already proven last year that he is more than capable of handling the Australian bowlers?

McKenzie couldn't even deal with the dibbly-dobly he faced this year in the Regional tournament. He is right where he should be, as a spectator. Talented but much like the others, needs to mentally understand Test batsmanship.
