the thing is shiv as unique as his technique was was very, very soild, which is why from 2001 until the end of his career, he was such a hard out. these guys have serious technical weaknesses. They may not. most likely do not know that they have a technical weakness. somebody has to point that out to them. i sure floyd think kraigg problems are dips in concentration because he usually absorbs so many balls, without considering that kraigg historically could barely get the ball off the square, which is indicative of a technical weakness, or that he perpetually fishes outside offstump with his bat a foot away from his body.
Shiv's problems were fitness and that may have been a result of deprivation growing up(an affliction of many west indian players). it was never a technical chink. in fact i would argue that part of the reason the west indies lost that 95 series because he was not picked while the side was stuffed with players from Richardson's team who were much easier outs, like athurton(mr binary) and stuart williams
