In fact, they are much better. And Australia have struggled with the bat this entire tour.

Jumps..

The difference is that they have managed to put together at least one solid partnership of 50 runs each time...

We have not.

Marginally???? Ok, let me humor you. How many batsmen do we have who average over 40 or 55 compared to Australia?

Bossman, if you are a batsman you should be able to bat in any spot in the order in all conditions. Hopefully Anderson can put that behind him and come good in the chase tomorrow. By the way, Shai Hope looked like a deer in headlights when he debuted for West Indies as an opener, and he turned out ok.

According to Jumpy, we could be leading this series 2-0 if our batting was “marginally” better smile

Experience why they can put up a partnership when needed. Plus our bowlers are less experienced and gets less rest. Crucial loss of leadership opportunity yesterday. Tell your buddy Chase that regardless of what Sammy said he should've opened and protected young Kevlon. After that his team would've walked on water for him.

I actually agreed with young Kev getting that Baptism

to be honest.

THe Bowlers not getting a rest ....like the Batsman Keeper we have...is a reality.

Batsmen have to blinking bat

If team members (but not the coach or captain) were emotionally invested in protecting the debutant, wouldn’t one of those team members have volunteered to open and protect him? And how do we know that Kevlon did not volunteer to open?

Australia for those who have played at least 10 Tests:

Steve Smith 56.34 after 118 Tests
Khawaja 44.23 after 83 Tests.
Green 33.56 after 31 Tests
Travis Head 42.22
Carey 35.56.

WI have one batsman with a 30+ average: KB 32.25.

dude this batting is terrible in testing conditions, smith excluded. Not one of these jokers can tie the laces of the waughs, langer, hayden, allan border, dean jones, damian martyn etc. worst bating from an aussie unit ive seen in my lifetime. i would even suggest, if we had at least two other solid bats next to King, australia would make even less due to our exceptional bowling and the pressure of knowing these low totals ill not be enough to ensure a win

Imagine that. A team with batting that is only marginally better than the West Indies is the number 1 test team in the world, and West Indies are ranked number 8 lol

In fairness to Jumpstart, the Aussie ranking is over an extended period of time, a time when Konstas wasn't in the picture, Labuschagne was batting lights out and Warner was around .

exactly. marnus' technical weaknesses have been discovered and he's now out of the team and warner is retired. it wasn't by chance that SA did a job on them in the wtc final

Jumpie, it is a rum bar. When we are intoxicated, we don't analyze. Worse when we tap up the glass with some my-home-boy-ism.

Tage Chanderpaul's average is 32.94.

He is a better batter than most of the WI batters on show today.
