Of the elk of Ben Stokes? Seriously, the bravado, the ego driven, talawah spirit that flows from them.....

Too much insularity and bureaucracy against Yardie players, if Jamaica had gone it alone, I am confident that like in other sports, we would have developed more worldclass cricketers. Jamaica just won a major ice hockey tournament in Canada, so any sport can be dominated by Jamaicans.

If so, what is stopping Jamaica from going at it alone?

We talking an all action cricketer, bat ball, fielding dynamics and provides game change moments with either bat, ball, fielding. Ben Stokes has that but I'd think with Jamaica's sporting prowess and strong influence on others they would have produced such a cricketer in their history

Dre Russ maybe could’ve become like that or even better but like many others he preferred his bank account!!!

Don't forget that first Gibson dropped Russell after 1 test and key-holed him into white ball. Even Ravi was dropped at times to accommodate Sammy. After Dre's ODI 92 vs India IPL came calling and it was bye-bye. Still not convinced he'd have been a long-term test performer.
