Cannot fault Carl's reasoning here. There were signs of improvement (sans Bangladesh defeat) amd it was important to build on those incremental improvements.

Let's not fool ourselves tho, our batsman all average below 30 at FC (except Brandon King, Hope and Chase). Campbell, Greaves and others in the wings will not succeed at test level with 20 sinting averages.

One thing......Hooper has worked with Sammy... during qualification in Zimbabwe....He knows things about Sammy...in person....Sammy is extremely powerful Head Coach..... with all powers...but his immediate removal, would be further detrimental....some changes in selection procedure along with Coaches...
After...N.Z. series, if West Indies fails similarly....then sack......

So who takes credit for the bowlers? Sammy?

Seems all we are doing is fooling ourselves. Our team is not good. We are inconsistent. I have been a fan of our bowling but we have had letdowns in recent times. I am happy with the effort in this series.

We need to continue to look to the future because the present is bad.

Seales is young and good.

Give the young fellas some time to develop. Jewel, Kevlon, Mikyle.

Coley's removal and the way it was done was an obscenity. Replaced by a man whose claim to fame was being captain of a star-studded T20 team where he did little with bat or ball and where major decisions were made by the stars of those teams. What is Sammy's test captaining record? A Scab and A Fraud.
