To ensure the stands are “Full Ah Energy” and packed with maroon pride, CWI is launching a special ticket promotion – “DRE DAY” – a Buy One, Get One FREE offer encouraging fans to come out in their numbers to support the West Indies team, while also paying tribute to one of the region’s most electrifying players, Andre Russell, as he prepares to make his final international appearances.
“These matches are an important moment for the West Indies team as we take on a world-class Australian side on home turf,”
said CWI CEO Chris Dehring.
“We want to see Sabina Park rocking with support for our players – and as part of that, we’re also proud to honour Andre Russell, a true Jamaican star, who has represented the region with explosive brilliance. ‘DRE DAY’ is about uniting behind the team and celebrating one of our finest as he takes his final bow in maroon.”

Did Roach ensure that his retirement announcement coincide with a test match at The Mecca?

A very last minute plan. We all knew it Russel’ s farewell series and only now they announcing discounted tickets two days after the test team was bowled out for their lowest score of 27, ninty-seven years after our first test? Man they can’t fool me with that . After that embarrassment they realized fans will stay home for the white ball version so they came up with that. But West Indians are so embarrassed that I doubt that trick will work

I am curious about this. Has the final XI been picked and announced. How does Russell know that he will be in the final XI for the first 2 games?

So Russell can’t attract a big “full freight” crowd himself for his home farewell?

The CWI refused to give Shiv, Roach and even Daren Bravo a 'sendoff', but Russell as notable club cricketer has a retirement party.

Did any of those named guys time their retirement announcement to coincide with a game at their home ground?
