In principle I support the Coach as sole selector…

and have been advocating for it for years…the problem though is that with responsibility comes accountability…
If the coach is going to be given the authority then he or she has to be held accountable for results…

You can’t have your cake and eat it too…for the CWI president to publicly say that the criticism of the coach in the wake of the Sabina debacle is down to the coach being a St Lucian should be grounds for immediate revocation of his remit…

The model is good..but the power was placed in the hands of a most unqualified candidate…I guarantee that the model would not have been implemented were the Coach from Yard, Bim, T&T or Mudland….

Warrican is a St Vincent native. He has the perfect qualification.

I actually feel sorry for him. Appointed for a position he cannot fill as a player who is not an automatic pick, and inclusion may upset the team selection.

That area lacks many fundamental aspects in the areas of regional and international cricket. I have no problem with Sammy as the coach of the T20 squad to gain some form of International coaching experience, but to name HC of other formats and the only selectors, is based on what?
The DOC has done nothing previously to improve Windward Islands cricket; how did he get the job?
