USA-1 U19 success in Caribbean, sign of......

Is the USA-1 success in the Caribbean U19 tournament a sign of an emerging power house in the Caribbean/USA region?

There are over 5 million indians expats in the US plus expats from other major cricketing nations whose children number one sport is cricket.
Added to that, starting with elementary school cricket leagues in the U.S., it is said the sport is exploding across the country.
and get this, not just expats from caribbean, Europe an Asia, but a lot of american kids are playing as well. some never hearing of the sport until introduced in school.

Looking down the road, will their emerging talent be a part of the West Indies player pool? or ......

And yes, i only hope West Indies can find some way of tapping into this emerging talent pool with more inclusion and collaboration like this one.

For many a year I have said our proximity to the US was being neglected. Just the physical, mental and nutritional development done in colleges could have a huge benefit to our players. We want to be professionals but are stuck in amateur bodies and mindsets. No killer instincts at all.

Our mental approach is purely amateurish and we are expecting to defeat professionally prepared teams.

We would take youngsters like Jewel and Kevlon and expose them early in the lineup instead of sending them later in the lineup. Again a seriously amateurish move by management. More interested in protecting supposedly established professional players.

If you don't see the threat and danger in this then you are doomed, this will cause a further talent drain on our cricketing development which is already miles behind major cricketing nations

CWI were foolish to have USA U19 and to make it worse, not 1 but 2 teams

If you are a chef, you don't teach someone with greater spending power than you how to cook, he will open a restaurant and hire you to cook for him,

I rather break up the windward and leewards at this level to expose more players

No it doesn't and I do not agree with this, not at this time. we should focus solely on west indies cricket only. An initiative like this requires lots of time and resources and support, we need to allocate what we have to our own.

I don't see Brazil helping any Caribbean nation with their football, I don't see Mexico inviting tivoli to play in football leagues
