Member of great 1968 team with Corcel Blair, Trini Anthony Johnson, Orville Edward’s, Errol Barrett, Lloyd Walker,Lascelles Shaw,
Larry Walcott and others.

Was an also a decent Headley Cup opener for VTHS. These I hear of the passing of so many contemporaries and even younger folks.

A very interesting character "Bop" was. He coached me for a bit and was quite complimentary.

RIP "Bop".

Oh it is sad to hear of his passing.

Was the Yard's Poor man Maradona. His right foot was a passenger and he drove well with his 'One Left'

Kenneth 'Bop' Campbell was one of Jamaica's football players who relished donning the jersey with pride
be it for Vere Tech ,Santos FC or the national team and he was masterful when he played.
He at one time was the leading International scorer for Jamaica and swapped that title with fellow
Santos, Excelsior player Leonard 'Chicken' Mason and few have served the country better.
Those stats have longh been surpassed but your deeds will always be remembered.
His deeds are legendary too at Vere where he played with some other notables in winning
All Island Ttitles and DaCosta Crowns.
Bob was also a good schoolboy cricketer who represented his School very well too and was
part of a group of the 70s Era that played both soccer and cricket very well. Numbered with him
were fellow Vere alums Herbert Dago Gordon,Peter Marston and Richard Austin ,Les and Carl Brown among memory in over lapping years.

Bop ,you served well without much reward except the intrinsic and the appreciation from those
that lauded you for your play and dedication to football and National Award of some kind should be yours
aqs you also gave back by being a mentor and coach to many.
Thanks for fond memories and may you enjoy your Rest.
Condolences to the family, relatives and the football fraternity in total.

It was only last Wednesday a former teammate and I were talking about "Bop" and having a laugh. "Bop", as a schoolboy coach was something else. I will say this one thing, he was VERY fair.
