Australia have won the toss and have opted to field

Mitch Marsh:
We will have a bowl. It is a small ground and quite a strong breeze, hopefully we can keep them to a small total. We gotta try and use the breeze. Sean Abott is back for us.

Shai Hope:
We want to improve on that middle period and make sure we finish stronger with the bat. Important to execute ourselves as a bowling unit. We want to improve on that middle period and make sure we finish stronger with the bat. Important to execute ourselves as a bowling unit. We still got 2 games to play and great opportunity to turn things around. We got 2 changes. Jediah Blades is coming in (102nd player to represent West Indies in this format) and Shepherd is in

Narper 2025-07-25 22:43:57

Cameron Green:
We got such a good line-up and I have been fitting in well in this team, it's been working well the last 2 games. It is totally dependent on how the openers go, whatever the situation of the game demands I am happy to do that. All throughout the order, there are six-hitters and always trying to be positive. The fearlessness comes out with age and primarly less pressure with the main guys not being here

Narper 2025-07-25 22:46:10

I am not seeing the crowds

Narper 2025-07-25 22:46:59

Pitch report:
"205 is the average first innings winning score here since 2022. 65 metres and 61 metres on the square. 68 metres down the ground. The surface is very hard, true bounce and there is going to be nice carry for the bowlers. You have to utilize the wind factor," reckon Samuel Badree and Stacy Ann King.

Brerzerk 2025-07-25 22:56:42

"We want to execute ourselves"

Akeal Hosein to Mitchell Marsh, out Maxwell Run Out!! Oh dear! That's a waste of a wicket and Maxwell has been caught well short. A big mix-up - was probably Marsh's call for a quick single and that was a poor call, he had hit it straight to the fielder at cover and set-off. Maxwell was slow in responding and then has no chance, caught short by a few yards as King threw it to the keeper. Was promoted to open against the match-up of Akeal, but he doesn't face a ball off him tonight

Narper 2025-07-26 04:22:34

Tim David | Player of the Match -
Absolutely not (when asked if he should be batting higher up in the batting order), just had a great time in the middle wanting to make the most of every opportunity with the bat. Was really nice to spend time at home, I had picked up a niggle, didn't think too much, didn't think I would score a 100 for Australia. The pitch was good and the boundaries were short, I just backed myself to play my shots. You always use your experience of playing here and it came good for me. I've worked a lot on my power-hitting, but I'm looking to make the most of my range as a stroke-maker.

Narper 2025-07-26 04:23:01

Shai Hope | West Indies Captain -
I don't think we had enough runs on the board. The dimension of the ground, the short boundaries - I think with the short boundaries, we needed more than just 214. Then we didn't get wickets consistently. We've powerful strikers of the ball, but credit to the Australians, they were excellent with the ball in the death overs. We need to correct a few things, we saw how Tim cleared the straight boundaries - we've to correct a few things and need to find solutions in the next couple of games. We've the players to do it, we've got some powerful strikers and we back them to deliver

Narper 2025-07-26 04:23:24

Mitchell Marsh | Australia Captain -
Every series win is special with this young group, guys getting games and stoked to be 3-0 up (in the series). We're giving (guys) opportunities in different positions, I thought we executed our skills well with the ball in the final few overs and no words to say about Tim's knock tonight. We want the guys to enjoy playing cricket for Australia, it should be fun, we just want to play some good cricket
.
