What a conundrum!!!

It is said the white ball players are better than the test players so get some in the tests.

In the recent test series it made no difference as neither established nor newcomers made a difference amongst the batters. The bowlers mostly young red ball players did very well.it must be said that conditions favoured bowlers.

Switch to the t20 series. The batters who couldn't buy a test run are the ones topscoring. The white ball specialist can't buy a run...including the overhyped Russell. The bowlers almost exclusively whiteball specialist can't contain or get Australia out.

What to do?

The guys who are scoring the runs are all white ball specialist though... none of them are test players.

The bowling coaches have to tell the bowlers to cut down on the full-tosses, However, what is now more deflating is the WI is losing to an Australian team with mostly unestablished players.
