Take him at least another 3 years to get the 2,500 runs required to surpass the great Sachin looking at the future tours schedule an obviously assuming he maintains his form an keeps his place....i guess if he does achieve it he might also be close to surpassing Sachin's 51 test 100's ....even if he fails on both counts it's inevitable he will become "Sir Joe" .....ow what would Windies give to have a class act like him!!

He is 34 and can still be there in 3 years.

ECB takes care of him so he doesn't have to run down Lickit. He is well on his way to #1.

I think any country would want to have a class act like him. I don't know why West Indians can't put a price on their wickets. They tend to play such loose shots and not grind out an innings.

The likes of Root ,Tiger,Dravid,Kallis an Steve Waugh just to mention a few all have/had one thing in common dogged determination... they not particularly pleasing on the eye but all "loved batting" an they took a lotta shifting ...can't say that about the present day Windies although i believe Kregg loves batting but just technically compromised!!
