They ask for us to support the WI team but we don't even know the squad to play Pakistan. This is very poor from the CWI.
God don't like ugly and the ugly politics now present in WI cricket is affecting us. Sammy receives his criticisms because he makes all the decisions. But he prefers to only accept the praise and blame someone else for the bad. So when the T20I team was winning under Powell, he was glad to accept the praise. When the team was losing under Powell, it was Powell alone who was sacked so I take that to mean it was Powell alone who was accountable for the loses and not he coach too. Now with Shai Hope we continue to lose. But Hope is Sammy's puppet so nothing is being said about Hope's captaincy and nothing must also be said about Sammy who is the constant person in these losses.
Sammy ends careers now as he feels like. One of our most promising all-rounders in the T20 game, Odean Smith, where is he? From he was caught on camera arguing with Sammy he has been discarded. His bowling needed working on and his shot selection but he has a lot of raw talent to work with. But is he in a programme something getting help? In the WI we don't seem to assist player development. It's like one day you may be playing for the WI and next day you are completely discarded with no clear path on how to get back into the team. But yet we expect players to be loyal to WI cricket.
Look what CWI did to Gayle and Darren Bravo. They were exiled for years just because of personality differences. No system on place to charge a player, have a hearing quickly and get it over with. Up to this day Darren Bravo has not had a hearing about the comments he made. He has not been formally punished for it. He was punished without a hearing and just banned from the game by those who had the power to do so robbing him and us of his talent. We need to remove men with too big of an ego from running our cricket.
