Only thing I can think of is they trying a pinch hitter role for him a la Sunil Narine

If that’s the case, what they did today is flawed because Narine opens the batting to try and take advantage of the power play.

To send Motie in to bat in the 10th over without the fielding restrictions of the power play doesn’t make sense.

To be fair……he is without King, Hetmeyer, Powell, and Lewis.

For a team like West Indies, that’s beyond significant.

If anything, it exposes our lack of depth and overall fragility in the batting department.
