I give him a pass on his first match but he is going to have learn quick in this format.but charles should be banished from this side

Both guys got bogged down when spin came on. The worse attempts at attacking the spin came from Charles who consistently and insistently tried to pull the ball through the leg/onside instead of hitting straight down the ground or with the spin through off. I have always maintained that 4s count as well- two well placed fours work just as a six and 2 singles would. One is more likely to get out vooping for sixes than aiming for gaps. Charles batting put pressure on Andrews as well.

We are not on the pitch but I wonder if it was relayed to those guys or pointed out, to play straight to the spin.

I was impressed by the debutant.
